Hear from our students
Moving to a different country was scary, but Assumption soon felt like home.
I met amazing people and took great classes in both Worcester and Rome. I volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and was part of the Reach Out Center in Campus Ministry. My experience at Assumption has shaped me and provided the tools that encouraged me to follow my passions.
My transition from the Dominican Republic to the United States has been great.
At Assumption, I felt like I was immediately accepted into a new community. I have been dreaming about aerospace engineering all of my life, so I am very excited to be enrolled in the 3+2 engineering program here.
I had never been far away from home before coming to Assumption.
Being a part of the swim team gave me an immediate group of friends and made the adjustment so much easier. I loved being a student-athlete at Assumption. The Athletic Department is very focused on the importance of balancing athletics and academics.
The professors at Assumption are so supportive.
I was having trouble in one of the classes for my major. I went to my professor and she helped me so much, through office hours, extra work and extra credit. It is great to have the one-on-one attention from the faculty here.
There are so many opportunities available to you at Assumption.
Whatever your interest, you can find something to be involved with on campus. Or, you can gather friends and classmates and start your own group! My friends and I have started a Robotics Club here that I’m really excited about.
It was not fortune that brought me to Assumption but the belief that it was the best place for me.
I was not mistaken as it has provided me with the tools to become and remain successful. Assumption is gifted with an incredible body of people that made me feel welcome from day one. This was one of the most enriching and exciting experiences of my life.
