Marketing with a Concentration in Digital Marketing

The digital marketing concentration will help students gain the knowledge necessary to succeed in a digital marketing environment.

Marketing is rapidly transitioning towards the digital world and adopting digital tools. With the rise of smartphones, tablets, video games, and other forms of new media, organizations are rapidly changing the way they marketing products and services to consumers. The digital marketing concentration at Assumption helps students gain the knowledge necessary to succeed in a digital marketing environment.

This concentration introduces students to topics such as social media marketing, email marketing, and mobile strategies. Students will learn to develop and implement contemporary digital marketing campaigns for any type of organization and learn to make tactical and data-driven decisions using social media measurements, business intelligence, SEO/SEM, web analytics, and marketing data.

Program Curriculum

This concentration will help students gain the knowledge necessary to succeed in a digital marketing environment.

    The digital marketing concentration will introduce students to topics such as social media marketing, email marketing, and mobile strategies. Study Abroad

Internships

Assumption career planning starts the day you arrive on campus. “Internship in Business” is a 3-credit seminar course in the Business Studies Department that is available to all business students. The course provides hands-on experience and training, networking and informational interviews with professionals, and assessment of your personal career strengths and interests. You will spend a minimum of 120 hours working in the field. During the weekly seminar, students discuss how organizational behavior and management concepts apply to their individual placements.

Learn by Doing

Students enrolled in the digital marketing concentration work with local start-ups and small businesses to conduct audits of the organizations’ digital channels. As part of this experiential learning experience, students collaborate with those organizations to develop new digital marketing strategies that have contributed to the growth of those organizations.
