Assumption Climbs Over 20 Spots in U.S. News and World Report’s Best University Rankings

Assumption University climbed 21 spots in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Universities list for regional universities in the north this year, rising from #50 to #29. The University is among only 30% of colleges that have been named to the same list for more than five consecutive years.

Assumption was named to two other lists—Top Private Schools and Best Value for regional universities in the north. The University advanced in the Best Value category, rising from #26 to #18. Top Private Schools is a new category, with Assumption debuting at number #19. The University’s climb in these rankings reflects its growing momentum and the strong outcomes it continues to deliver for graduates.

U.S. News & World Report—which has ranked higher education institutions across multiple categories for over four decades—relies on more than a dozen measures of academic quality to compile its list. 

This announcement comes on the heels of the University’s selection to the Princeton Review’s list of best colleges. Assumption also earned a spot on Forbes’ highly selective list of 2027 Top Colleges.
