Clubs and Organizations
There are nearly 60 student clubs and organizations at Assumption where you'll meet new friends, take on leadership roles, apply their gifts and talents for the benefit of the community and have some fun.
You're Invited: Get Involved!
Learning at Assumption happens inside and outside the classroom, in the local community and beyond. The Office of Student Activities offers an array of opportunities to engage in social, recreational, academic and cultural activities. You'll be busy seven days a week between academic and co-curricular programs. We work closely with students to organize, publicize and implement a number of exciting activities to bring together the learning inside the classroom as well as through your involvement outside the classroom. Assumption has many traditional events and offers new experiences and events each year.
Getting involved on campus is part of the culture at Assumption. You can choose among more than 60 clubs and organizations to find a group that piques your interest and utilizes your talents. Joining clubs on campus gives you a chance to meet new friends, network with faculty and staff and maybe even find a future job. (Tip - If you do not see a club of interest, you might be able to create a new club!)

Through outreach, education, research, and advocacy, students open up the conversation about mental health and helping to end the stigma related to mental health
AC Science Club
Helping others in the natural sciences and beyond to develop a passion and appreciation for science and its many applications
A television production club that produces biweekly news segments about campus life, in addition to producing videos for any other club or organization. Check out the ACTV YouTube page!
Assumption is a welcoming and accommodating community, ADAPT promotes a community where students with disabilities feel enabled and capable of doing and fully participating in the vibrant campus life of the College.
Advocates for Life
Promoting the dignity of human life from conception until natural death, this student-run club sponsors an annual trip to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life.
African Dance Club
Bringing more diversity to the college campus and to educate on the different cultures in Africa through music and dance.
Join a group of students who foster an inclusive environment and awareness of diversity among members of the entire Assumption community. ALANA educates and engages the community through events, discussions, and meetings
Assumption Against Cancer
Nearly every family has been impacted by cancer. Assumption offers you an opportunity to join a nationwide collaboration of college communities dedicated to eliminating cancer through fundraisers and events.
Dedicated to establishing a volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one on one friendship and integrated social experiences for people with and without intellectual and development disabilities.
Campus Activities Board (CAB)
Do you like to plan fun events? As a member of CAB, you'll work with other students to plans late night events and coordinate off-campus travel to provide students alternative experiences on the weekend.
For those that enjoy competing in sports, but not at the varsity level, Assumption offers a number of club sports such as basketball, cheerleading, dance, equestrian, figure skating and much more. GAME (Greyhound Association of Marketing Enrichment)
Collaborate with a group of students that studies and researches the field of marketing, develop sound thinking in marketing theory and promote friendly relations between students, faculty, and businesses.
Does taking the stage to perform excite you? This acapella group performs at various events on campus and creates music.
Take those skills you learned in class or pursue a hobby in graphic design as you collaborate with other clubs to create materials to promote various campus events.
Aim to help educate students on the fundamental techniques of investing, network with students and alumni who share similar interests in investing, and invest in individual stocks
The college yearbook, Heights, is designed, produced, and managed by students. Collaborate with other students on layout, photography, and capturing the excitement of campus life to remember in the future. The Heights office is located in the lower level of the Hagan Campus Center.
How good is this group? They won first place at the second annual WEC'appella competition performing Elastic Heart and If I Ever Fall in Love! This audition-only student-run club is one of the several ways you can refine and share your talents on campus.
Human Services Club
At Assumption, we form students to engage in compassionate service. This club allows Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies students - and others -- to take what they have learned in the classroom to provide service to others in the community through a number of engaging and exciting volunteer opportunities.
AC Italian Club
Ciao, come stai! Have you considered spending a semester at Assumption's Rome Campus or do you have a love for the Italian culture? Join this club to promote, understand, and celebrate the Italian and Italian-American culture and heritage.
Latin Dance Club
At Assumption, you'll have opportunities to explore and experience different cultures. Teach or learn the art of Latin Dance in a recreational environment and even perform at various events on an off campus.
The pen is mightier than the sword! The student newspaper, Le Provocateur, chronicles campus news and life at Assumption College while providing you an opportunity to develop a portfolio of published work. You'll collaborate with a team of students who are interested in telling a story, including some students who wish to pursue a career in journalism. The "Provoc" is an independent student-run publication that allows students to refine their journalism, marketing, and publishing skills.
Love Your Melon
"LYM" is a national organization whose mission is to provide a warm winter hat to every child battling cancer in the United States. This group of students is united in the fight against pediatric cancer.
MA Alliance of College Republicans
Get involved in the political process by informing and educating students on Republican policies by providing perspectives from both sides of the political spectrum.
This student-run theater group annually produces and performs one show per semester in the College's state-of-the-art Jeanne Y. Curtis Performance Hall.
If you have a passion for law and enjoy a hearty and informed debate, this club will provide the means to deepen your passion for the judicial process.
Not only does Assumption encourage creative expression, but the College provides ways to showcase your work. Our students are renown for their writing skills. Muse, the official literary magazine of the College, provides a medium through which to showcase students' best talent. The journal features poetry, short fiction, essays, and artwork. All students are invited to join the Muse staff. Visit Muse's Facebook page or download a recent edition.
If the College's Center for Neuroscience does not fulfill your passion for this interesting field, then join the Neuroscience Club to participate in a number of activities that explore the neuroscience system.
The National Student Speech Hearing Language Hearing Association offers students opportunities to explore an interest in communications sciences disorders.
The great outdoors calls! Join a group of adventurous students for a day of rock climbing, white water rafting, zip lining and more!
Assumption students enjoy campus life and the College encourages you to do so safely. Peers Advocating for Wellness is a student-run group that promotes responsible decisions about health and wellness within the campus community.
One of the more popular majors on campus, the Psychology Club offers students from any major the opportunity o explore the many different facets of this exciting field and its impact on society.
Assumption students study hard and they play hard. Join a group of runners of all abilities and pace for a judgment-free experience on campus.
Throughout the year, the Admissions Office hosts a number of events to welcome prospective students and their families to campus. Join a group of students who are passionate about Assumption as you share your experiences with future students as a certified tour guide or meeting with future hounds.
Student Government Association
The Assumption College Student Government Association (SGA) is the governing student body that represents all full-time undergraduate students. The SGA works closely with students and administration to: voice the opinions and concerns of the student body; support students, organizations, and the greater campus community; and provide an opportunity for all students to actively contribute to the academic and social climate of the campus.
CRS Social Justice Ambassadors
Assumption College is one of the first colleges in New England to become an official CRS Global Campus. Social Justice Ambassadors organize and lead campus campaigns to raise awareness and foster dialogue on issues of global inequality, justice, and solidarity among students, faculty and staff of the College.
Student Philanthropy Club
Perhaps you received a scholarship or generous financial award from Assumption and would like to give back. This club seeks to educate students, faculty, and staff about the importance of giving back to the College to provide opportunities for future students to attend Assumption.
The competition is friendly. Or fierce! Join with your friends, or make new friends, as you compete in a number of popular tabletop games.
Thoreau’s Rooster spotlights some of the best works of undergraduate creative non-fiction by students across the country and provides Assumption students with practical experience in the editing and publishing field. In this club, you'll also discover your voice and leadership potential.
Women in Business
Women and men make invaluable contributions to campus life and the College provides opportunities to various groups to plan events to celebrate those contributions. Join Women in Business and be part of a team that organizes the annual Women in the Workplace Conference on campus and get ready to network!
Women’s Studies club
Assumption is a community of welcoming individuals who seek to gain a better understanding of one another. Be part of an effort to educate students on the value of gender equality and how it is contextualized in modern society
