Travel Tuesday: Amy DeFilippo ‘20

Sep 24, 2019

Human services and rehabilitation studies major, Amy DeFilippo ‘20 spent this past summer studying abroad on Assumption’s Rome campus. “I wanted to study abroad in Rome because my father’s side of the family is Italian, so I wanted to make a better connection with my heritage. My favorite part of this experience was expanding my views of the world and experiencing something outside of American culture.” Amy has been debating studying abroad since her freshman year, but lives with food allergies and felt held back. “I finally decided to take the chance and study abroad, and I have no regrets about it. If something’s holding you back, let it go and do what you want to do!”
