Reporting Hazing
See Something? Say Something!
If you see or hear something that concerns you, please report it! Don’t assume that others have already reported…it is better to have multiple reports than none at all. Assumption University does not condone hazing or hazing behaviors in any form, and will take all appropriate actions upon receipt of information of hazing. Students, family members, faculty, staff, and community members can report hazing by completing the Hazing Report Form. While the University will accept and attempt to act on any information provided, the University is best able to respond to hazing concerns when we receive information that:
- Is accurate
- Is timely to the incident
- Is factually based
- Has contact information for the reporter
While anonymous reports are accepted, the ability for AU to fully act on and hold responsible alleged hazing can be impacted by lack of reporter or affected party information.
Please do not assume that others have reported a concern-duplicate reports are happily accepted as opposed to no information.
How to Report a Hazing Concern
- If there is an immediate safety concern, please call Campus Police before taking any other step.
- Submit a report through AU’s Hazing Report Form. You do not have to log in or authenticate to do so-ANYONE CAN REPORT!
- Consider reaching out to one of the many resources listed in the report form for support, including the Counseling Center, Student Health Services, the Title IX Coordinator, and more.
