Assumption University Announces Rise Scholarship and Continuation of Access Promise

Assumption University announced today two important programs focusing on access and excellence: the continuation of the Assumption Access Promise and the brand-new Rise Scholarship.
“At Assumption, we believe that education should both prepare students for a successful career and form them for a life of meaning and purpose. We are committed to making that kind of education possible – and recognizing the hard work it takes to achieve it,” said Assumption President Greg Weiner. “Together, these programs express what Assumption stands for: our belief that every student who is willing to work hard and seek meaning in what they learn deserves the opportunity to thrive.”
The Rise Scholarship, a renewable award of $2,000, will celebrate students who have demonstrated determination, growth, and promise in their high school careers – those whose effort and achievement show they are ready to rise even higher at Assumption. The scholarship is not based on financial need, but on academics.
The Assumption Access Promise provides Pell Grant-eligible students from Massachusetts the opportunity to attend Assumption tuition-free. 90 students from the Class of 2029 are currently pursuing an Assumption education with the help of the Access Promise.
These two programs will help more students to experience the heart of Assumption’s Catholic liberal education, challenging them to think deeply, to engage generously, and to pursue truth in the company of friends.
