Assumption Named to U.S. News & World Report Best University List 

Assumption University has once again been named to both the Best Universities and Best Value lists for regional universities in the north by U.S. News & World Report. 

The publication—which has notably ranked higher education institutions in several categories for forty years—uses more than a dozen measures of academic quality to determine its list. 

This year, Assumption climbed seven spots from #57 to #50 in Best Universities and nine spots from #35 to #26 in Best Value for regional universities in the north. Assumption’s ranking in Best Value places it among the top 15% of all schools named to that category. The University’s rising placement on these lists showcases its momentum and strong outcomes for graduates.  

This news follows the University’s strong performance on Money’s 2025 list of Best Colleges in America as one of just 23 institutions in Massachusetts to receive four or more stars in the ratings. Assumption was also included on Forbes’ highly selective List of America’s Top Colleges.
