Assumption Named a “Best Value School”

Jan 10, 2019

Assumption was recently named a 2017 Best Value School, a distinction that recognizes the institution for excellence in cost affordability, graduation statistics, student debt, and overall student satisfaction.

According to the ranking organization, University Research & Review, LLC, a committee selected Assumption based on its reputation among students and alumni, programs offered, accreditation and cost to attend. The ranking organization also shared that there are thousands of postsecondary institutions eligible for this award, but less than 100 are nominated quarterly and very few are selected.

The Best Value Selection Committee is comprised of entrepreneurs, economists, and renowned higher education professionals. Assumption is among approximately 80 other institutions across the country selected from a pool of roughly 8,000 colleges and universities. Affordability, paired with knowledgeable professors, small class sizes, strong community, diverse curriculum, and a network of post-graduate resources, contributed to Assumption’s recognition as a “Best Value.”

University Research & Review, LLC describes itself as a company on a mission to improve the process by which a student selects a college, university or career school and that identifying schools that merit consideration is a key element in fulfilling its mission.
