2022 Schedule

  • 5 to 7:30 p.m.: Dinner in Taylor, Taylor Dining Hall
    Enjoy a meal in the dining hall with your student! Meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $14.74 per person (price includes tax).

    6 to 8 p.m.: Family Weekend Check-In, Tsotsis Atrium
    Stop by the Tsotsis Family Academic Center to pick up your event tickets, a Family Weekend schedule, your pre-purchased t-shirt and some camp themed items!  

    8 p.m.: Family Weekend Bingo, Curtis Performance Hall located in the Tsotsis Family Academic Center
    Join CAB and our very own Dean of Students, Ted Zito, for a night of a classic game of chance…BINGO! Win great prizes the whole family will enjoy! Only 250 tickets are available. (Sign up through the Family Weekend Eventbrite, found below) 

  • 9 a.m.: Parent and Family Breakfast and Campus Stroll
    Join members of the parent and family advisory group for a continental breakfast and campus tour. Start the day off by mingling with fellow family members and enjoy some conversation “in the company of friends.” Continental breakfast begins at 9:00 am in the Lobby of the Tsotsis Family Academic Center.

    9 a.m.: Women’s Lacrosse Alumni Game, Brian Kelly ’83 Stadium 

    10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Continental Breakfast in Taylor Dining Hall 
    Enjoy breakfast at the dining hall with your student! Meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $11.96 per person (price includes tax). 

    11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: Brunch in Taylor Dining Hall  
    Enjoy brunch at the dining hall with your student! Meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $14.74 per person (price includes tax).  

    12 p.m. to 4 p.m.: Football Game, Brain Kelly ’83 Stadium, Kickoff at 1 p.m. 
    All tickets for the game will be sold at the gate and not in advance of the game.

    2 p.m. to 5 p.m.: CAB Fall Fair, Hagan Plaza, (Rain Location Laska Gymnasium)
    Enjoy food trucks, inflatable axe throwing, photo opportunities and various fall activities sponsored by our student organizations. The first 250 families to arrive at the fair will be given a limited-edition Family Weekend tote bag! 

    5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.: Dinner in Taylor Dining Hall 
    Enjoy a meal at the dining hall with your student! Meal tickets can be purchased at the door for $14.74 per person (price includes tax).  

    9 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Family Weekend Trivia, Curtis Performance Hall located in Tsotsis Family Academic Center
    Families can compete in teams of two to six people in trivia for the chance to win some awesome prizes! Only 250 tickets are available. (Sign up through the Family Weekend Eventbrite, found below) 

    10 p.m. to 11 p.m.: Dessert Truck, Chapel Lot  
    Enjoy a yummy dessert before heading home for the night!  

     

  • 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Grab and Go Breakfast, Hagan Lawn 
    Stop by Hagan Lawn to grab a donut from a local Worcester favorite and a coffee from the Coffee Cabin truck before you begin your journey home! Available while supplies last. 

    10 a.m.: Family Weekend Catholic Mass
    Celebrate the Mass with other families and members of the Assumption community before heading home. 

    10 a.m. to 11 a.m.: Continental Breakfast in Taylor Dining Hall

  • T-Shirts commemorating the weekend can be purchased in advance via the Eventbrite link below and picked up at check-in, bingo, the Fall Fair and trivia. The deadline to order is October 7th, 2022. No refunds are available. There will be a limited quantity available for purchase at the event and we cannot guarantee availability, therefore we encourage purchasing in advance!  

    Once on the Eventbrite, click ‘Tickets’. Here you will see the option to purchase the t-shirts.  

  • When is the deadline for registration? 
    Friday, October 7th is the last day for family pre-registration. On-site registration may be available to families pending prior sales. Students who have questions or concerns can go to the Office of Student Activities (Basement of the Hagan Campus Center) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.. 

    When and where is registration? 
    Registration for Family Weekend closes on October 7th. Pre-ordered tickets can be picked up at check in on Friday and the Fall Fair on Saturday. Registration can be done through the Eventbrite site.  

    How do students sign-up for the events? 
    The Campus Activities Board also be promoting event registration on social media and through flyers around campus. Students will be able to scan a QR code to access Eventbrite to register. Students can go to the Office of Student Activities to sign up (Basement of the Hagan Campus Center) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. if they experience difficulties. We encourage students and families to communicate about registering to avoid duplicates.  

    If we are interested in bingo or trivia, do we need to sign up our student? Yes. When signing up for bingo or trivia please include your student in the number of tickets you are registering. Please communicate with your student to ensure they have not already registered. 

    How can I pay for meals to dine in Taylor? 
    Meals can be purchased at the door to Taylor for Brunch and Dinners. Your student may also have guest meals available from their meal plan that could be utilized as well.  

    Do AU students need to pay for meals? 
    No. If your student has a meal plan, they do not need to pay for meals in Taylor Dining Hall. If you would like to enjoy a meal with your student in Taylor Dining Hall, tickets can be purchased at the entrance to the dining hall.  

    Are events free? 
    Yes! Most events offered by our Campus Activities Board are completely free to students and families. There is no cost to attend but be sure to register for your spot in bingo and trivia on the registration page. T-Shirts will have to be purchased, however.  

    How do I purchase T-shirts? 
    T-shirts can be purchased via Eventbrite. Once purchased you can pick them up at the Welcome Booth during Family Weekend. Presale ends on October  7th. A few remaining shirts will be sold at the event on a first come first serve basis.  

    Do we need to buy tickets in advance? 
    Yes, to secure your spot we encourage registering for the bingo and trivia in advance. Tickets for the events will be available for pickup on Friday at check in and Saturday at the fall fair.
