Swayamsiddha Sarangi
Assistant Professor of Finance and Economics
Dr. Sarangi earned his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Utah. Prior to this, he completed a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Delhi and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Hyderabad. He has also worked in the industry as a Stress Testing Analyst for HSBC, India, and as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Rhode Island. His research interests span topics on macroeconomics, labor economics and industrial organization. Currently his work focuses on understanding the determinants of labor share decline, and the impact of vertical restraints, and profitability in the franchised service sector on pay and hiring for minimum wage workers.
