Evangelina Gonzalez-Dufresne, MSW, LICSW
Director of Field Placement and Professor of Practice
Evangelina is the Director of Field Placement and Professor of Practice for the Bachelor of Social Work program. She is a licensed clinical social worker with over eighteen years of direct care and management experience working with people experiencing homelessness in a federally qualified health center. She has worked in various roles, including field director, professor, case manager, mental health clinician, and behavioral health program manager. She has extensive clinical experience combined with administrative oversight and clinical and field supervision. Clinical practice working with major mental illness, addiction and recovery, co-occurring disorders, complex trauma, suicide assessment, crisis response, integrated treatment, case management, clinical supervision, and management skills. She utilizes trauma-informed supervision methods to ensure intern support and quality services. She teaches social work courses, oversees the BSW social work internship field process, and maintains connections and communication with staff at community agencies.
