Starting his career in Public Service at the age of 18, Mr. Otterson began with the Auburn Fire Rescue Department and excelled through the ranks, where he retired as a Captain and Paramedic after 20 years. He was instrumental in the growth of the department, bringing Paramedic Level Ambulance service to the town as well as 24/7 staffing without affecting the tax levy. During his time in the fire department, he also worked for the esteemed “Worcester EMS” as a Paramedic for 10 years. His PA-C career began in 2013 after he graduated from Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Science University. He currently works in Emergency Medicine and outpatient Pediatrics. As part of his responsibilities, he carries the title of Assistant Medical Director for the Leominster Fire Department and CEMLEC SWAT. He also provides services to the Massachusetts State Police at the Training Academy. In his personal time, he enjoys mentoring young adults interested in public service and health professions as well as serving as a “Billet Dad” to local hockey players prior to entering college. He continues to play ice hockey and previously officiated NCAA Men’s Ice Hockey.
