E. Jane Clapp

Jane Clapp is Assumption University’s Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Assumption, she served as Controller and Chief Accounting Officer at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. In this role, she led critical initiatives in capital planning, debt management, and endowment growth, managing substantial university assets and expenditures. Her leadership was instrumental in increasing revenue and enhancing student services, including the negotiation of strategic real estate acquisitions that align with future campus housing goals. Known for her collaborative leadership, she has managed multiple operational areas and played a pivotal role in financial oversight, working closely with WPI’s Board of Trustees to support sustainable growth and innovation. Previously, Clapp served as Treasurer at Boise State University.

Clapp is a Certified Public Accountant, with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Graduate Certificate in Public Administration, both from Boise State University. She is currently a candidate for her Master of Business Administration from Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
