Originally from Greece, Demetrius Kantarelis is a Professor of Economics and Finance at the Grenon School of Business, Assumption University. During the 1997–1998 academic year, he served as a Visiting Professor at the U.S. Air War College, teaching International Political Economy and NATO. His specialization lies in Investment Theory, Geoeconomic Game Theory, and Financial Econometrics. He earned his BA from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, an MA from Fordham University, and a Ph.D. from Clark University, alongside visiting scholar appointments at Harvard (1984–86) and Oxford (2019, 2026). The author of numerous publications and editor of three scholarly journals, Dr. Kantarelis often presents on his book, Freedom and the Third Hellenization Period, which argues that global civilization is experiencing a Third Hellenization era sparked by Saint Thomas Aquinas.
