MONEY Names Assumption a Top 30 Best Test-Optional College in the Nation

MONEY magazine has named Assumption College as one of the top 30 2018-19 Best Test-Optional Colleges. This list is part of MONEY’s collection of specialty rankings, which assists college-bound students in finding the right college.

In recent years, it has become increasingly more common for colleges and universities not to require students to submit their scores (SAT, ACT, etc.) during the application process as such institutions consider the whole person. Assumption became a test-optional college in 2010.

MONEY based its rankings on data collected from the U.S. Department of Education, Peterson’s,, and MONEY/College Measures calculations. Those instituitions named to this list were also recognized in Money’s overall college and university rankings.  In August, Assumption College was ranked in the top 23 percent of MONEY magazine’s Best Colleges for Your Money 2018.  MONEY cited the College’s variety of majors and minors; its campus in Rome, Italy; “vibrant” campus culture, and more, for its prominent place on the extensive list.
