Hound of the Week: Kashmir Flood ’20

Mar 12, 2019

Kashmir Flood ’20, Sociology Major, Psychology Minor

Born and raised in Cromwell, CT., Kashmir inspires her peers as an involved student on campus working as a Resident Assistant for the Living Learning Center, a Volunteer with African Community Education, First Year Mentor, and a Marketing Assistant for the CDIC. Kashmir’s involvement on campus stems from her purpose to show students of color like herself that although campus can seem intimidating, you can build relationships and find your voice. “I’m passionate about raising awareness of social justice issues. I believe that my background in receiving a social justice education and activism has empowered me to engage and work towards change on campus. Whether programming for Residential Life, or creating ideas for events in other clubs I’m involved in, my social justice twist has provoked conversations on social injustices on campus.”

Kashmir’s plans after graduation include attending law school and changing the world.
