Charlie’s Cafe Celebrates Summer Renovations

Charlie’s Snack Bar and the Hagan Campus Center underwent renovations this summer, bringing a new dining experience to students. A celebration was held on August 25, including music, free merchandise, and fun for members of the Assumption community.
This includes new food options at five food stations, including signature salads and wraps, Mexican cuisine, fresh-made sandwiches, burgers, and more. The five stations are:
- Yella’s, serving burgers, subs, chicken, and shakes
- Chopped and Topped, serving salads and wraps
- El Comal, serving burritos, tacos, and bowls,
- The On the Run C-Store, serving snacks, beverages, breakfast sandwiches, Starbucks, and more
- The Food Lab, serving a rotating selection of global cuisine, starting with Medi Fresh Mediterranean favorites

Students, faculty, and staff can vote on what the next menu in the Food Lab will be here; the options include Tavolino Italian, Chopsticks modern stir-fry, or BBQ District savory meats and sides. The Food Lab will switch menus every two weeks throughout the semester.
This semester will also include fun events outside of Charlie’s, including food competitions and nutritional information sessions with dietitian Gabby McDonough M.S., R.D., L.D.N. More information about upcoming fall semester events hosted by Assumption Hospitality can be found here.
