Assumption’s Political Science Program a “Best Value”
College Factual has recognized Assumption’s political science program as one of the top 25 best political science programs for the money in its 2019 Best Value Colleges for Political Science & Government rankings. Assumption, ranked in the top five percent of programs nationwide, was also named the best program for its value for political science majors in Massachusetts for the second consecutive year.
Assumption’s national ranking among political science programs improved by 13 slots over last year’s placement.
At Assumption, many political science graduates pursue careers in government, journalism, law, international affairs, teaching, and business. Students learn how to rationally address historical political issues that continue to influence the public policy process today. The program aims to prepare students to contribute to the American political system through the understanding of the importance of public service and what it means to be a thoughtful and responsible citizen.
According to College Factual, the organization’s Best Political Science Schools for the Money ranking takes into account the “average yearly cost of the school, the average time students take to graduate, and the quality the school provides to students.”
