Assumption Announces Partnership with Fontbonne

Assumption University has announced a new partnership with Fontbonne, The Early College of Boston, which will provide students with scholarship opportunities and deeper insight into the college application process.
Fontbonne is a Catholic preparatory and early college serving young women in grades 7-12 throughout Greater Boston and the South Shore founded in 1954 by the Sisters of Saint Joseph of Boston.
“We are excited to enter into this partnership with Fontbonne, whose students we know are uniquely equipped to thrive in the kind of Catholic liberal arts education Assumption provides,” said Vice President of Enrollment Management Bill Boffi. “Greyhounds are known for their intellectual seriousness, thoughtful citizenship, and commitment to the common good—all qualities that we see in so many Fontbonne students, and especially in those who have made the fruitful transition between our institutions.”
Through this partnership, Fontbonne students will receive direct feedback to improve their college essays from Assumption staff through workshops held on their Milton campus. Representatives from the University’s Admissions office will return to Fontbonne’s campus in October to evaluate students’ college applications and make acceptance decisions on the spot, giving students the advantage of planning their futures early with confidence.
“This partnership reflects Fontbonne’s deep commitment to expanding access to exceptional academic opportunities for our students,” said Fontbonne Head of School Maura Spignesi. “With a long-standing tradition of 100 percent college acceptance, Fontbonne continues to support students who seek both academic excellence and personal growth. Our collaboration with Assumption University is a natural extension of that mission, offering students a pathway that nurtures their intellectual development and spiritual journey.”
