Earn College Credits While in High School
Exceptional St. Paul, Notre Dame Academy and Worcester Public School students eager for a taste of the excitement and challenge of college-level academics can take advantage of a unique partnership with Assumption, which includes a Dual Enrollment program through which students can earn college credits for courses they successfully pass.
St. Paul students may take one course per semester for a total of four while Notre Dame Academy and Worcester Public school students may take up to 2. Through a special partnership with St. Paul, those students can take three classes tuition-free; the cost of the fourth class is applied as a credit in the spring semester of a student’s senior year of college if the St. Paul student enrolls at Assumption University.
The Value of the Dual Enrollment Program for Students
- Earn college credits while gaining experience in college-level academics.
- May be able to graduate from college a year early, providing tremendous cost savings.
- Can sharpen understanding of what awaits students as full-time college students and make early progress in their transition to college life.
- Confirm their interest in a field of study and enrich their high school experience in ways that could be transformative.
