Class Notes

1970

Kenneth Savage retired in June after an extraordinary 55-year career teaching science at Westbrook High School in Connecticut. His dedication earned him a nomination for the Guinness World Record as the longest-serving science teacher. He now looks forward to enjoying retirement with his family and cheering on his granddaughters as they pursue careers in education and STEM. Watch the news feature here.

1974

Bill Rigali published his memoir Get on the Purple Line, reflecting on his decades-long career in coaching and teaching in Holyoke. Now retired, he lives on Martha’s Vineyard with his wife, Sandra. Learn more.

1984

Celeste Gauthier Johnson GR ’84 recently published her book An Odyssey of Becoming: That Summer of ’72. Learn more.

1988

John Rosen created 6Tool, an interactive Baseball and Softball IQ app designed to help players ages 8 and up improve their game awareness and decision-making. Widely used from Little League to the Major Leagues, the app features real-game scenarios and coach-assigned quizzes. Learn more at www.6-tool.com.

1990

1994-98

2012

Robert DiGiammarino, PsyD, was recently appointed Director of Behavioral Health at MassGeneral Brigham Salem Hospital.

2014

Katie (Jankowski) Malz married her husband, Nick Malz, in May 2024, celebrating with friends, family, and her fellow Greyhound classmates.

2024

Kayla Baron started a new role as a Special Education teacher at New Britain High School in Connecticut.
