Travel Tuesday: Lily Raso ’20

Lily Raso ’20 chose to study abroad because she wanted to make the most of her college experience. “I only live an hour away from Assumption, so I felt like I needed something new and out of my comfort zone.” Lily chose to study at Griffith University in Australia’s Gold Coast because of the distance. “I figured it was somewhere I wouldn’t be able to go whenever I wanted to in the future.” Lily specifically wanted to learn about different cultures outside of America. “Although Australia is a more Americanized place, there are still many differences that make it unique.” Lily thanks her friends and family who inspired her to study abroad. After seeing them travel to numerous places throughout the world, she felt like she could do it too.
