Hound of the Week: John Cordero ’19

Congratulations to our next Hound of the week, John Cordero ’19! John’s leadership the past four years has ranged from being an RA, and President of the Esports club all which he has carried into his senior year. “Being involved gave me a family here on campus. Being an RA, in particular, gave me 55 co-workers/friends, and also let me be a leader.” John is passionate about working with others and creating the best environment he can here on Assumption’s campus. “I love hosting events for either Res life or the Esports club. Whether its video games tournaments, bingo games, or roommate games. I also love knowing that I can walk around campus and I’m guaranteed to see someone I know, or that there’s always a friend in the library or Chucks just hanging out. Assumption gives me a place to develop friendships with people who also want to go out into the world and leave it a more positive place than when we found it.”

John is thankful that Assumption gave him the opportunity to study abroad at  Assumption’s Rome campus, and the opportunity to make lifelong friends. “My time here has genuinely made me happy, and I’ll miss it terribly. It’s been an incredible journey, and I’m glad that I spent my college years here.” As John gets ready for Commencement 2019 Sunday, he remembers: “Part of the journey, is the end” -Ironman
