Advance A Degree Program or Catch-up: Register Now for Assumption’s Summer Semester

Apr 15, 2020

This summer, Assumption will once again offer its high-quality, highly personalized online summer semester for those looking to catch up on or accelerate a degree program, or simply focus on a particular course with fewer distractions.

Register or view courses

The courses offered during the two summer sessions provide the same intellectual rigor as those taught during the fall and spring semesters, but in an accelerated six-week format. In addition to the compressed time frame, summer courses are offered at a reduced cost. Students will have the opportunity to take a variety of courses, ranging from business and cybersecurity to health sciences and philosophy, most of which satisfy the Core Curriculum or general education requirements.

“Courses offered at Assumption during the summer provide students the opportunity to fulfill requirements for graduation while enjoying the same academic rigor as courses offered in the spring or fall semesters,” said Greg Weiner, Ph.D., provost and academic vice president. “Completing core requirements in the summer enables students the flexibility to focus on their major or work toward an additional minor during the fall or spring semesters, maximizing their education and time at Assumption.”

Thirty courses will be offered during Session I (May 18-June 26) and 17 during Session II (June 29-August 7). Offerings include courses in anthropology, accounting, art history, biology, computer science, cybersecurity, economics, English, history, human services and rehabilitation studies, health sciences, literature, management, marketing, mathematics, music, philosophy, psychology, Spanish, and theology.

Registration for Assumption’s summer semester is now open to Assumption students as well as students from other institutions of higher learning (Assumption students can register now, while non-Assumption students may register beginning Monday, April 27).
