What are the challenges and imperatives to friendly discourse in the wake of the presidential election, the intensification of political protest, growing uncertainty regarding higher education, and other anxieties? The Center for Civic Friendship will hold its inaugural event on Thursday, November 7th at 6:00p.m. in the Curtis Performance Hall located in the Tsotsis Family Academic Building. Professor Christopher Gilbert (Assumption University) will moderate a discussion examining how friendship relates to sustaining a flourishing, democratic society with President Greg Weiner and Professors Corinne Gartner (Wellesley College), Marc Landy (Boston College) and Holly Taylor Coolman (Providence College).
