Contemplation and the Art of Friendship in Polarized Times
Dr. Brian D. Robinette is Associate Professor of Theology at Boston College and the author of numerous scholarly and popular articles, as well as two influential and critically acclaimed monographs, the most recent of which is The Difference Nothing Makes: Creation, Christ, and Contemplation (UND Press, 2023). His lecture, “Contemplation and the Art of Friendship in Polarized Times” will explore the spiritual and social implications of contemporary contemplative practices and the question of meaningful friendship in a moment when genuine, fruitful dialogue is a pressing concern.
