Elizabeth Plante

Elizabeth Plante, MA, LMHC, is a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification, Certified Clinician providing CBT, DBT and evidence-based treatments for trauma to individuals and families for twenty years. Ms. Plantereceived her Master’s Degree from Assumption University with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Children and Families. Ms. Plante was also awarded a certificate in CBT through the Aaron T. Beck Institute in Cognitive Studies at Assumption University. Ms. Plante has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy under Charlie Swenson and advanced intensive training under Marsha Linehan.

Ms. Plante is the Director of DBT and Trauma Services at Open Sky Community Services, a local non-profit human service agency. In this capacity, she oversees implementation of DBT and Trauma Services throughout the agency including training, supervision, and consultation. Ms. Plante is a regular trainer at The Bridge Training Institute, where she provides a recurring, comprehensive, 13-part series in the treatment of Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Ms. Plante enjoys studying and practicing mindfulness and is a Level One Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction Teacher through Brown University.

Ms. Plante has been an adjunct instructor at Assumption University for nine years in the Clinical Psychology Graduate program where she has taught the Cultural Competency course as well as, most recently, a specialized course in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
