Black History & Women’s History Month Lecture: Diaspora Ambassadors: Black Women, Pageants, and Building Connections across the African Diaspora

Attend a powerful lecture that examines how African American women became diasporic ambassadors whose experiences in the African diaspora reshaped understandings of Blackness and community formation in the late 20th century. This lecture will be presented by Courtney Pierre Joseph, Ph.D., assistant professor of history and African American studies at Lake Forest College in Illinois.
