Oct. 03, 2019
10:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Testa Atrium

The Fortin/Gonthier Core Texts & Enduring Questions Program is pleased to invite you to this year’s annual Brownson Round Table.  Named in honor of Orestes Brownson, the Brownson Round Table brings scholars from colleges and universities in the Central Massachusetts area together to discuss timely educational questions that lie at the intersection of philosophy, theology, science, and politics.

The 2019 Brownson Round Table will take up the theme of the future of the Catholic college—a subject of fundamental concern to every Catholic college today.   This year’s Round Table discussants will be:

  • Fr. Dennis Gallagher, A.A., Provincial of the North American Province of the Assumptionists
  • Dr. Patrick Gardner, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs and Tutor at Thomas Aquinas College
  • Dr. Daniel Maher, Associate Professor of Philosophy at Assumption College
  • Dr. Matthew Schmalz, Professor of Religious Studies at the College of the Holy Cross

The Brownson Round Table is a free event that is open to the public.
