Frédéric Rivoal is an organist and harpsichordist who regularly is invited to give recitals in Europe, the United States, and Japan. He plays with a number of Baroque music ensembles and symphonic orchestras, both as soloist and continuo player.
The Assumption College Chorale in its final concert of the season will present a performance of varied choral works.. The Chorale is directed by Dr. Michelle Graveline and accompanied by Mr. Brett Maguire. This event is free and open to the public.
The Festival of Lessons and Carols, a tradition originating in nineteenth century England, has been celebrated at Assumption College as a worship service for the Advent/Christmas Season and features both biblical readings and sung carols. This year, the theme of Lessons and Carols is “Ancient to Modern,” a celebration of the season of advent through the ages.
The Assumption College Band under the direction of its conductor, Bruce Hopkins, will be performing a concert of familiar Holiday repertoire along with its regular concert selections in the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Featured will be different instrumental ensembles as well as soloists from the Band. This concert is free and open to the public.
The Assumption String Camerata will present music of Mozart, Corelli and Winters on Thursday December 1st. The ensemble is now in its tenth year of presenting the great string ensemble repertoire. This performance is free and open to the public.
