Marta Carlson, Ph.D. LMHC
Interim Director/Personal Counselor
Marta Carlson, Ph.D., is a licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts and a licensed psychologist in Rhode Island. She received her BA from Providence College, her MA from Lesley University and her Ph.D. from Syracuse University. She completed her clinical training in the counseling centers at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Syracuse University, and Boston University. She has extensive training and experience in the psychoeducational assessment of learning disabilities and ADHD in children and adults. She specializes in women’s mental health, particularly in the areas of food, weight, and body image. For the last 10 years, she has led the Women’s Group which is open to women enrolled in any of the Colleges of the Worcester Consortium.
Kevin E. Murphy, M.A., C.A.G.S., LMHC
Kevin Murphy is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Massachusetts. He received his B.A. and M.A., C.A.G.S., from Assumption College. He has extensive experience in substance abuse treatment, crisis assessment, intervention and treatment and has worked extensively with adolescents and young adults. He has worked both inpatient and outpatient settings, and has done forensic evaluations for the Juvenile Court System.
Greta A. Cowan, Office Manager
Greta Cowan is the Office Manager for the Student Development and Counseling Center. She has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Becker College, and over 20 years of experience as an office manager. She has also worked as a reading teacher in the Worcester Public School System.
