Kola Akindele is currently the Assistant Vice chancellor for city and community relations at Umass Medical School. Immediately prior to joining UMMS, Akindele was the community relations manager at Hartford Hospital. From 2010 to 2013, he served as a community relations associate in the Office of Community and Government Relations at UMMS. He has been involved with many local community organizations, including the American Red Cross, Veteran’s Inc., the Worcester County Bar Association and the YMCA of Central Massachusetts. He is also an assistant professor in the Healthcare Administration program at Worcester State University as well as an adjunct faculty member in Assumption’s Health Advocacy program.
