Welcome to the Emmanuel d'Alzon Library!
The Emmanuel d’Alzon Library is a center of academic life at Assumption, housing not only the Library, but the Academic Support Center and the Accessibility Center. Beyond print and electronic resources that support both undergraduate and graduate course work, the Library provides comfortable spaces for individual and collaborative work. Expert librarians are available for drop-in and by-appointment research consultations. A personal librarian service offers undergraduate students an opportunity to connect with a librarian who will be their go-to library consultant for their four years at the college. We employ student workers, who are an integral part of our service team. Additional services include laptops and device chargers for use in the building, a bank of dual-boot Mac/Windows desktop computers, high speed printers, and a scanner from which you can save, email, or print a document. Group study rooms and research appointments with librarians can be scheduled online. In this fast-moving world of technology, concerns about reliable information, and diverse preferences for a study environment, library staff members routinely seek student input for improvement to services, resources, and the physical space.
