Assumption College Humanart series presents harpist Susan Knapp, from the faculty of Hartt College of Music.
This will be a program of varied dance steps (Samba, Canaries, Tango, Waltz), old and new, set for harp, in combination with 2 movements from a work entitled “Ganagobie,” (which is a 10th center Benedictine monastery in France). The movements from Ganagobie are “The Stone Portal” and “The Old Monk,” depicting the amazing stone portal that graces the Chapel, and a monk. I’ll wrap up with somewhat of a “playlist” of more modern favorites, from Standards, to film score tunes, to modern song-writer songs.
This event will take place in the Tsotsis Family Academic Building in the Janne Y. Curtis Performance Hall and is free and open to the public.
