Many students and even parents have questions that they do not
want to ask so here are a few answers to those unasked questions!
How
do I make friends?
At
AC there are a lot of opportunities to meet people. You can
get involved in a variety of activities such as: Campus
Activities Board, Student
Government Association, Campus
Ministry, the Reach
Out Center and Intramural
Sports.
Where
do I go to do laundry?
Each
dorm is equipped with laundry facilities. At AC you don’t
need loose change, all you need is your College ID. Parents and
students can put money onto the ID for laundry and vending machines
or put money on it separately for campus cash to buy things from
the Assumption Bookstore, Charlie’s, Taylor and Domino’s.
Just with the swipe of a card easy as that.
Do
I have a choice for a meal plan?
As
a first year student you must have a 19 or 14 meals per week meal
plan, but as you continue at AC you will have even
more variety available to you, which you use your ID card
to receive meals.
What
size sheets will I need?
You
will need to purchase extra long twin sheets to fit our mattresses.

What
do I need or can bring to school?
You
are allowed to bring a microwave, small refrigerator, TV, VCR,
DVD, fan, and phone. You do not need an answering machine because
everyone has his or her own personal voicemail on our phone system.
Each room is equipped with one phone jack, and cable connection,
and an Internet connection for each resident. More

Where
can I go if I am homesick?
Residential
Assistant’s are trained to help you and personal counselors
are available at our Student
Development Center.
Where
can I go to help me manage my time better?
In the
Academic Support Center there are staff and specially trained
student tutors.
Can
I bring a car?
First
year students are not allowed to bring cars.
Are
there things to do during the weekend?
Yes, there are always things to do. Check
