Student Leadership Institute
Assumption College
SLI is an ten-week noncredit course offered by the Office
of Student Activities in an effort to improve student leadership
skills in a co-curricular setting. SLI sessions are taught by many
different representatives of the Assumption College and surrounding
community in order to offer a variety of learning experiences to
the participants.
Skills obtained will benefit students both academically and socially.
In addition to the skills listed below, participants will also develop
problem solving, organization, event planning, public speaking,
teamwork skills, and much more! This is an interactive experience
which can shape your entire college career and help you get (and
keep) a job! Don't miss out on this free opportunity.
SLI sessions are held once a week in
the Student Activities Resource Room in the Lower Level of the Hagan
Campus Center.

SLI Requirements
SLI candidates must be full-time undergraduates in good academic
standing with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.
SLI candidates must be nominated by a faculty or staff member of
Assumption College in order to be considered.
SLI participants are expected to attend ALL SESSIONS and contribute
to the group. There are journal entries required for some classes.
SLI participants need to be committed to working as a part of a
team.
