How do I get involved on campus?
Every AC student is encouraged to participate in clubs, intramurals, intercollegiate
sports and activities on campus. For more information on how to get involved
call 767-7403 or check out the Clubs & Organizations on-line.
Do you have to be an athlete to use the
Plourde Center?
No, the Plourde
Center is open and free of charge to all students with a valid student ID.
Can I use the campus Health Services?
All full-time undergraduate students (including commuters) have access to Health
Services as well as the Student
Development & Counseling Center which offers career and personal counseling.
What local transportation is available?
AC is accessible by both the Worcester
Consortium Shuttle and the WRTA.
You may pick up a copy of either schedule in the Office of Student Activities.
Where can I study?
The Emmanuel
d'Alzon Library is most likely the place with the least distractions. Other
possibilities include the Commuter Lounge and Charlie’s.
When do I receive my Commuter Parking Permit?
You can purchase your parking sticker at Campus
Police for $35, beginning in late August.
Where can I eat on campus?
Commuters are welcome to eat in Taylor Dining Hall and Charlie’s Snack
Bar. Commuters are encouraged to purchase Campus Cash through Sodexho
Services in Taylor Dining Hall. You may also put cash on your ID to use at
vending machines.
Do I get a mailbox on campus?
Yes, every student gets a post office box for all four years. Your box number
will be mailed to you in the summer and you will receive your combination when
you arrive in August. Some mail will be mailed to your home address; however,
it’s very important that you check your PO Box on a regular basis.
Are there tutors available to commuters?
Yes, free tutors are available through the Academic Support Center located in
the Library. Call 767-5232 for more information.
Where do I park on campus?
Currently, commuters may park in the Chapel Road parking deck or any Black Permit
designated parking area.
How do I check my college e-mail?
It is very important that you DO check your college e-mail account on a regular
basis, as much of the college announcements are made via e-mail. To check your
account from home, go to the following website: http://webmail.assumption.edu.

How do I find out if classes are cancelled
due to snow?
The Commuter Snow Line is (508) 767-7220. We do not announce cancellations of
undergraduate day school on the radio, nor do we give out that information at
the switchboard. The message will be on the above number by 7am. It is up to
you to call and see if there is school.
