Through the SEND program, students experience the many gifts of service. They grow as individuals and are deeply impacted by their experience. They come to a fuller understanding of the relationship between faith and service. And they gain an appreciation for service as a central component of the Assumptionist spirituality.

START Retreats - START ONE and START TWO

One of Assumption’s most successful programs, the START retreats focus on issues of community, identity, commitment and faith. These retreats are planned and carried out by students themselves and include presentations, small group discussions, group activities, great food and fun entertainment! The retreats provide time for reflecting on your relationships with God, self and others. Students of all faiths are welcome.

Members of the club learn the movements and history of capoeira, as well as promote awareness of the art around campus through performances and demonstrations. Anyone from the school is welcome to join, regardless of prior experience.

The stable, Integrity Equestrian Center, is about 20 minutes from the college. We practice proper horsemanship and riding etiquette, taking lessons once a week. We are not focused solely on riding, and plan on visiting many horse related events throughout the course of the year.

Outdoors Club

The Outdoors Club offers students and staff of Assumption College opportunities to enjoy the outdoors in a safe, educational and fun environment. In order to serve both experienced outdoors enthusiasts and novices alike, the club sponsors events that offer a variety of outdoor experiences, with ranging levels of physical challenge. A strong emphasis is placed on the building of relationships.
