When students make use of counseling
services, they are afforded the ethical and legal
privilege of confidentiality. If students want their
counselors to communicate with anyone outside the
Student Development and Counseling Center, they must
sign a release form. Examples

Students hospitalized must submit
(prior to resuming classes and/or on-campus residence)
a note to the Office of Student Life from their professional
caretaker indicating that they are physically and/or
emotionally capable of resuming academic course work
and, if applicable, the responsibilities of on-campus
residence

to have completed by the professional caretaker.
