Neil Ryan Castronovo, Ph.D., is a licensed psychologist, having earned his BA and MA from Catholic University, his MAT from Johns Hopkins University, and his Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University. He did graduate work in patient counseling at the Medical College of Virginia and postgraduate training at the Boston Institute for Psychotherapies, Inc.

He is a member of the American Psychological Association, the Massachusetts Psychological Association, and the National Register of Health Care Providers in Psychology. He is a Board Certified Diplomat Fellow in Prescribing Psychology, a National Board Certified Fellow in Clinical Hypnotherapy, a Myers BriggsType Indicator Certified Practitioner, a Certified Instructor in Crisis Intervention by the National Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc., completed basic training in Critical Incident Stress Management, and Mediation Training for Mental Health Professionals through the Massachusetts Center for Dispute Settlement.
