Hello, my name is Conway Campbell. This is my 5th year at Assumption. Prior to coming here, I worked as Assistant Director and Director of Residential Life at Connecticut College; and Resident Director at UMass Lowell and Bentley College. I received my Bachelor’s degree in English from UConn and my Master’s in Educational Administration from UMass Lowell. When not at Assumption, I am immersed at my church or with my wife and 3 children. More

Hello, my name is Ted Zito and I am the Associate Director of Residential Life at Assumption College.  I have worked at Assumption College in Residential Life since 2000.  I am an alumnus of the class of 1999 and also have a Master’s degree from Assumption in Counseling Psychology.  I became interested in working in student affairs in my first year of graduate school while working as a Graduate Resident Assistant.  When I’m not working in the office I enjoy spending time with my wife Jill and following the Red Sox. More

Hello, my name is Gail Schuyler. I’ve worked as Secretary/ Office Manager in many different offices, and along with my husband, owned and operated two printing companies in Whitinsville, MA and Ojai, CA.  I love to travel. I have 4 children and 5 grandchildren. I teach an Adult Women’s Sunday School class, and I joined the Residential Life Staff in November 2006.

I graduated from CSU Long Beach with a B.A. in Social Work (BSW) and the University of Michigan with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. I am currently pursing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with an emphasis on management from Assumption College. More

It was there that I became involved in Residence Life and developed interests in learning communities, leadership development, and social responsibility. I completed my Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration at North Carolina State University where I worked as a Residence Director in Scholars Village. My name is Bea Patiño-Mancuello. I was born in Chicago and raised in Rhode Island. I went to undergrad at Connecticut College, and spent 2 ½ years in Paraguay, South America for the Peace Corps (where I met my husband, Lalo). I am starting my fifth year here as an RD. I am currently in the Masters Counseling Psychology Program here and will graduate in December. I am looking forward to an exciting year filled with long lasting memories. More

Afterward I studied Mechanical Engineering and completed a minor in Graphic Communications at NC State University. Later, I attained a Music Production & Engineering degree at Berklee College of Music. I will be graduating with my MBA from Assumption Spring 08! I like basketball, writing music, and inventing. Pro Staff Position Descriptions


The Director of Residential Life is responsible for the overall supervision and operation of the Residential Life program. The Director is responsible for developing and maintaining an environment that promotes a living/learning experience for the resident students and for coordinating the work of the Residential Life staff. The Director is also available to assist students with personal, educational, and housing concerns.


The Associate Director is responsible for administering a variety of operational, educational, and counseling functions, which are all designed to foster personal development and a sense of community within the Residential Life Program. The Assistant Director co-supervises the Area Coordinators and Resident Directors.


Area Coordinators are full-time professionals who live in assigned residence halls or areas. They are responsible for the overall operation of an area or building, as well as supervising Resident Directors in either upperclass or underclass areas. They supervise the Resident Assistants and Head Resident Assistants and act as a resource for their staff in areas such as campus information, maintenance requests, referral, and residential policies and procedures. They are also responsible for residential programming, and promoting social, academic, spiritual, and recreational programs for their assigned areas. Area Coordinators are available to all residents for consultation or assistance.
