Some students have a clear-cut idea of what they want to do after graduation. Others change their minds and majors one or more times. Others come to college undecided and uncertain about how to choose a major and a career.

Assumption’s Office of Career Services is here to help all students from the day you arrive on campus. Our experienced, full-time staff members provide guidance, resources, and support as you explore academic and career options, set goals, and work towards post-graduation success. It is a process that begins with the CALL (Career And Lifelong Learning) Program in your first year and culminates at graduation as you move into your career or graduate school. We’re with you every step of the way.

Career Services staff provide the following services:

  • Individual and group appointments to discuss academic and career options
  • Assessment of your strengths and interests help you better understand your true potential as you make important academic and career path decisions. The Career services staff offers a variety of tests to help guide you.
  • Advice on portfolio development to organize and document your accomplishments and showcase your credentials and experiences
  • Job/internship search strategies including resume and cover letter writing advice, mock interviews and video review
  • Professional development programs including workshops, presentations, and other career-related programming that take place throughout the year
  • Career fairs where employers and graduate schools provide information about internships and post graduate opportunities to students
