When you enter college, you may or may not know what you want to do when you graduate. Career services can help you understand your strengths and find a path toward personal success. The Career and Lifelong Learning (CALL) Program is specifically designed to assist first-year students and sophomores to:
Set individual goals: We’ll talk with you about your questions, your options and your future. It’s not too early to start.
Explore academic interests and career options: Through conversations and testing, we can help you assess your interests and strengths and find an academic program that prepares you for interesting career opportunities.
Build a portfolio: Assumption students learn to create an electronic portfolio that records academic accomplishments, campus involvement, off-campus experiences and projects. Your portfolio helps you identify and clarify your skills and is a valuable tool when you apply for internships, employment or graduate school.
Connect with a mentor: The first-year mentor program pairs you with an upperclassman to encourage your involvement in cocurricular activities and ease the transition to life on campus. Your mentor is a valuable resource on campus and helps connect you within the Assumption community.
