Region 1 RCEP
(Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program)
The Region I Rehabilitation Continuing Education Program (RCEP) is part of the Institute for Human Services and Rehabilitation Studies at Assumption College. The RCEP provides continuing education training programs for vocational rehabilitation practitioners in the six New England states: Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Maine and Vermont. The goal of the Region I RCEP is to provide rehabilitation, continuing education, and technical assistance to the public.
The RCEP will focus on Seven Core Training Areas over the next five years of funding provided through a Cooperative Agreement with the federal Department of Education's Rehabilitation Services Administration. The seven core training areas are: (1) Employment of Individuals with Disabilities; (2) Rehabilitation Practice; (3) Rehabilitation Technologies for Service Delivery Systems; (4) Comprehensive Personnel Development; (5) Organizational Change for Continuous Improvement; (6) Program Evaluation and Benchmarking; and (7) Peer Technical Assistance.
