RENA FINDER, SURVIVOR OF AUSCHWITZ,
TO SPEAK AT ASSUMPTION COLLEGE

Worcester, MA --- Rena Finder, a survivor of the Nazi death camp, Auschwitz, will present a lecture entitled "A Survivor on Schindler's List" at the College's Hagan Campus Center Hall on Tuesday, November 16, 1999, at 7:00 p.m.

Ms. Finder was born in Krakow, Poland in 1929. Once the Nazis occupied Poland, she became part of the Krakow ghetto, and eventually was transported to the Auschwitz death camp. However, she, her mother, and 11,000 other Jews were saved from the gas chambers by the German industrialist, Oscar Schindler, whose story is depicted in Steven Spielberg's film, "Schindler's List." She is therefore considered "a Schindler Juden."

A question and answer period will follow the lecture.

The event is free and open to the public.
