T & G Reporter Timothy Connolly Chosen As
Outstanding Faculty
Member at Assumption College

 

Worcester, MA --- Assumption College's Continuing Education Department has a longstanding tradition of recognizing a member of its adjunct faculty who has demonstrated outstanding commitment, cooperation, and teaching ability. These outstanding faculty members receive excellent course evaluations, and show a genuine concern for their students. They are proud to announce that this year's recipient is Timothy Connolly, Lecturer in English.

Professor Connolly earned both his English degrees from Assumption College, a Bachelor of Arts in 1977 and a Master of Arts in 1985.

His professional experience includes several years as a reporter at the Norwich Bulletin, and the Middlesex News. He has been a journalist for the Worcester Telegram and Gazette since 1979, and covers a variety of news including sports and politics.

He began teaching for Assumption in 1987, and has taught Journalism, Professional and Academic Writing, and Writing and Editing. He has also supervised several student practicums in the area of communications.

Not only is he a wonderful instructor, but he has also contributed his service to the Center in a variety of ways. Serving on the Communications Advisory Board since 1993, he assisted Continuing Education in developing new curriculum for several programs, including the latest in graphic design. In addition, he was instrumental in coordinating and moderating a symposium on Media Ethics that included presenters who are well-know in the area of media and politics.
