Assumption College Chorale Performs Vivaldi’s Gloria
Worcester, MA--—The Assumption College Chorale will perform Vivaldi's GLORIA with an orchestra on Thursday, May 2, 2002, at 8 p.m. in the College's Chapel of the Holy Spirit.
Soloists include soprano, Sarah Hall, instructor of Music & Voice at Assumption College, and mezzo-soprano, Paula Murrihy, from County Kerry, Ireland, recipient of the Dame Joan Sutherland Award for Most Promising Young Singer and the McCormack Medal.
The Chorale will also perform arrangements of well-known spirituals, and Dr. Frank Corbin will offer the famous organ work: "Prelude and Fugue on the Name of Alain," by Durufle.
The Chorale will be under the direction of Ms. Jane Shivick. Admission is free and open to the public.
