its third year, the Center, with assistance from its national advisory board,
is working with teachers (K-12), environmentalists, and transportation professionals
to help young people appreciate transportations impacts on their environment
and on their communities. The Center was created to serve as a national clearing
house for curricular strategies and programs that schools throughout the country
might use in helping young Americans assume an environmental and social stewardship
and make responsible transportation choices.
