The significance of this machine to Assumption College is quite vast. First
and foremost, it will allow Assumption students that have an interest in biotechnology
science to gain practical knowledge that is considered standard in the biotechnology
field today. The technology that this machine offers, will not only upgrade
the equipment that we have now, but is essential to the education of students
that will be working in this field after graduation. The 9700 Thermal Cycler
will allow Assumption College to continue to train their students to be assets
to biotech companies.
